MUSIC STREAMING SERVICE Spotify has announced major updates to its service including content management and mp3 download features.From today you can manage content on any Apple Ipod Classic, Nano or Shuffle from Spotify alone. You just connect the device with a USB cable like normal and it will pop up in the new Devices section of Spotify where you can sync content.
This means that users are no longer bound within the walls of Apple's Itunes to manage content on Ipods and can do away with the software as it's not a necessity any longer. Daniel Ek, CEO of Spotify said, "From today, Spotify really is the only music player you'll ever need."
If you're thinking of keeping Itunes to buy your music then Spotify has that covered too with its new download service. Spotify offers download bundles so you can own your playlists.
Download bundles range from 10 tracks for £7.99, working out to 80p per song, up to 100 tracks for £50, which is 50p per song. At 50p per song this is 29p cheaper than the typical Itunes price.
Furthermore users are no longer restricted by their account type so Iphone and Android users can access Spotify Mobile without having to pay for a premium account. You can now wirelessly sync your playlists between your computer and handset, too.
